Garvin Pilots Crate Late Model to Victory at PPMS!

Sarver, PA (April 30, 2012) John Garvin Jr. and Copperhead Racing have been quite busy so far in 2012, entering 12 events already in the young 2012 racing season, and their schedule looks to get a bit more hectic as the team has added a crate late model to their stable in addition to the super late model for the rest of the season. The decision to compete in the crate division as well has already paid dividends as Garvin Jr., picked up his first win of 2012 at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway in Imperial, PA on Sunday, April 29 in his first crate start of the season.  John coupled that win with a solid second place finish in the super late model feature event after leading throughout the event. John Garvin Jr. Returns from Georgia/Florida Speedweeks

Sarver, PA (March 2, 2012) Former UNOH All Star Late Model Series Rookie of the Year John Garvin Jr. and Copperhead Racing made what has become an annual trip to the Georgia and Florida Speedweeks.  Unfortunately for Garvin, the trip that started out very promising at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, GA took an ugly turn when the team reached their final destination of Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL.

Garvin Jr. kicked off speedweeks by setting 13th quickest time out of the 56 total entries at the World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned ‘Winter Freeze’ at Screven Motor Speedway on Friday, February 10.  From there John would finish a

strong second place in his heat race behind Winfield, TN’s Mike Marlar, transferring him into the $20,000 to-win main event.  After starting eighth in the 60 lap feature, Garvin Jr. battled his way to an impressive 14th place finish giving the team some confidence heading into the ‘Bubba Army Winter Nationals’ at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL.
